Travel Drawings
Miltenberg Garden and Castle on the Rhine, Pen on Paper, 11"x14".
The top drawing was first. While Cynthia walked I sat with a cup of coffee and drew the "scene" next to me in the garden. Time seemed limited so I used half the page. Looking down from my seat was also an interesting perspective because the fence and deck are "flat" and the pot is a volume.
The riverscape was made of 3 triangles. The left edge of the river goes back to a small black boat. The castle and buildings on the right ground. The scribbly drawing of the forest on the right is grounded by the castle and pulls my eye back to the right.
