This cup/vase was turned on a pottery wheel and the strongly manipulated. As I've said before these piece must be dynamic without the added element of "flattering" lighting. There are some oak trees in my neighborhood with very vigorous texture in their bark. This interested me and is evident in the surface of this piece.
